Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of terms

By using the Quizdom application ("the Game") you accept these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Game. These terms apply to all versions of the Game — web (PWA), iOS and Android apps.

2. Age requirement

The Game may be used by persons aged 16 or older. By registering you confirm you are at least 16. We recommend that players under 18 play with the knowledge of a parent or guardian, particularly because of real-world movement and chatting with other players.

3. Beta phase and availability

Quizdom is in a beta testing phase. The Game may be unavailable, unstable or subject to change without notice; we reserve the right to suspend or shut it down permanently without compensation. The Game is available in selected cities of the Republic of Croatia and the list of cities expands without separate notice.

4. User account

An account is required to play. You are responsible for keeping your password safe, for the accuracy of your data and for all activity through your account. A username must not be offensive, discriminatory or illegal — such names are deleted.

You can permanently delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account) or by request to info@quizdom.online. Deletion anonymizes your profile, releases your captured locations and erases related data (details in the Privacy Policy).

5. Code of conduct and player content

The Game contains chat and other player-generated content. We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You agree not to:

• abuse, harass, threaten or discriminate against other players
• post unlawful, offensive or misleading content
• use bots, scripts or other automated tools to gain an advantage
• fake your GPS location (spoofing)
• bypass security mechanisms, share or sell your account

Messages pass an automatic filter, and you can report any message (🚩) or block a player (🚫) directly in chat; reported content is reviewed and removed. You are responsible for the content you post: if Quizdom suffers damage or third-party claims because of your content, you agree to indemnify us. Violations may result in temporary or permanent suspension.

To appeal a moderation decision, report unlawful content or raise a copyright concern, contact info@quizdom.online with a description and content link. We review appeals and explain our decision.

6. Duels and PvP mechanics

Capturing other players' locations, tower sieges, clan mechanics (including betrayal) and duels are an intentional part of the game and do not constitute damage or a violation of another player's rights.

The "roast duel" mode contains deliberately snarky, humorous lines in a sporting spirit. By entering that mode you consent to that tone. The lines are written by Quizdom (they are not player messages) and do not refer to the real characteristics of the participants.

7. Virtual content

Points, resources, items, avatars, badges and other virtual content have no monetary value, cannot be bought, sold or transferred outside the Game, and may be changed or reset without compensation during the beta phase. Referral rewards are discretionary and are withdrawn in cases of abuse (e.g. fake or multiple accounts).

8. Location and physical safety

The Game uses your device's GPS location for map gameplay — processing details are described in the Privacy Policy.

You play at your own risk and assume the risks of real-world movement. You agree to:

• never use the Game while driving a car, riding a bicycle, scooter or any other vehicle
• stay aware of your surroundings at all times and give priority to the real world, not the screen
• not enter private property, construction sites, railways or other dangerous or restricted areas — a location in the Game is neither an invitation nor a permission to enter
• obey traffic and all other regulations, and adapt your play to the time of day and weather conditions

Location data (coordinates, names, descriptions) may be inaccurate or outdated and must not be used for navigation.

9. Sponsored content

The Game displays sponsored content from local partners, always marked "Sponsored". The advertiser is responsible for the content, accuracy and offers; external links lead to pages outside our control.

10. Intellectual property and third-party content

The design, code, logo and original questions are the property of the Quizdom team. They may not be copied, redistributed or used commercially without written permission.

The Game also uses third-party content which remains under its own licences: location data from the OpenStreetMap project (ODbL licence, © OpenStreetMap contributors), descriptions and photos from Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons (CC BY-SA and related licences), and the OpenFreeMap and CARTO basemaps.

11. Disclaimer

The Game is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by mandatory law, we are not liable for damage arising from use of the Game, including loss of data or virtual progress, lost profit, or injuries or damage sustained during physical movement. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Changes to the terms

We may change these Terms; we will notify you of significant changes via the Game or by email. Continued use after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Every version carries a number and a date.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Croatia and the competent court in Pula has jurisdiction — without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights to bring proceedings before the courts of their place of residence.
